SERPENTWITHFEET SAME SIZE SHOE

Los Angeles-based avant-garde choir boy, serpentwithfeet, reveals a new single, 'Same Size Shoe', from his forthcoming album, DEACON, out March 26th on Secretly Canadian. Following the warm and percussive previous single, 'Fellowship', 'Same Size Shoe' is an airy and delicate electronic production centred around electric piano and splattered beats. Enlightened and angelically sung, Serpent's opening lyrics inform, 'Never heard truth come from skinny lips, never seen fighters with lazy fists, won’t kiss your son if his heart ain’t big'. 'Same Size Shoe' is a song about relatability in love, in Serpents own words, 'I prefer to date and love on Black men. I don’t want to be with anyone who can't go to my barber or walk a mile in my shoes'. We look forward to hearing the rest of his forthcoming album, DEACON. -Ellie Rose-Davies
